Endless hours watching the reports of aggression has brought me to a sad place.
Although the Ukrainian people are fighting hard to keep their land and freedom, they are suffering major setbacks. It’s amazing how the evilness of the Russian leader could cause overwhelming loss of life and destruction while chasing for a taste of power.
My heart reaches out to the Ukrainians, and I honor them with this poem.
Defenders
Danger, danger, harm
Seek shelter, refuge, escape
Tanks approaching fast.
Evacuate now
Obtain arms, defend our land
Our flag shall not fall.
